Mimidora The Explorer

Today i have to bring all of my stuff to the LBC office in Calle Doctor Cirajas. Sardines, a few clothes and booooooks. Like 20 of them haha. I was contemplating on putting the computer keyboard with the "send home" stuff but my dad told me to bing it with me because it might get crushed

I will try to make 2 3/4 months of life inside this

I also finished rolling almost all of my clothes


I had to get a taxi to transport my stuf because i will break my back if i use the metro.

I packed my stuff there and voila! I have to wait around 50 days. But no problem. I'm not very impatient.

I rushed back to the metro because i need to meet up with Julieta for our "despedida to each other lunch".

We ate at the usual, the Cafe Moderno also so i can say goodbye to Rodrigo the camarero and Virgel the Filipino cook.

After lunch she had to rush home because her flight is at 18:00 back to France


Since i still had time, i took a few pictures of the road to school

I started to reminisce before going home. I took a picture of that cinema where i watched Piratas del Carribe with Induja

Oh wait i almost forgot. Outfit of the day, the über comfy Bombachos. I love them even if they look a bit funny at times. It's so comfyyy


And then i went home to eat dinner with Mamá Eva. It was quiet with just the 2 of us but it's like bonding moment :)

After that i started doing my luggage again and then it's ¡Buenas Noches! To my beloved Madrid

I woke up early today because i need to look for the LBC to be able to send some of my things home. I can't put them all in my luggage because i will have to pay for overweight fees.

I looked for the address online and the telephone number. I tried calling the number but it just ate up load because of the answering machine thing.

I looked for the Calle Fernando El Catolico but aparently LBC is not there anymore... So i used a public phone to try calling again and por fin! Someone answered and told me the REAL direction.

It's now in Calle Doctor Cirajas, 12, and you have to take metro line 5, the green one to Ciudad Lineal and then take the Salida (exit) Centro Commercial. Walk a little and turn right and that's it! haha

In metro Quevedo there's some kind of hi tech passenger guide on the platform. ¡Que Guai!!! (how cool!)

I passed 3 men today that all said the same thing to me "hola chinita guapa!"....(hello beautiful chinese girl)..... I'm not from China (-_-)#

And then i finally found the LBC and met Vicky and Tess. They explained to me the process of a "balikbayan box" or the really really huge box that i think 2 of me can fit inside. I'll just come back tomorrow to bring all my stuff because i still need to buy Sardines :)

I went back to eat lunch because i don't want to be paying for food i am not sure of. With Mamá Eva's cooking i am always sure it's good :)

I rushed to school because i might be a little late. During class, Carolina told me she had a little gift for me and then brought out my certificate :) instead of writing "principio de Avanzado B2 (Beginning if Advanced B2)" because i am only able to take 1 week of this level, she just wrote "Avanzado B2" because she feels that even without to the next chapters of the book, i can make it :)






i'm so happy. And my evaluation, almost all are 9's except for auditory skills which was a 10 :) those are the highest grades tey can give :)






i'm really happy and my family will be so proud





We had a laughing session with Carolina and Abel. I really hope i could stay longer but i can't.

After school i went to El Corte Ingles to buy a few more books and keyboards with Spanish characters, and ofcourse Sardines. My friend Ruben from the book section was not there so i just left a message since he does not have work fridays and saturdays and those are my last days in Madrid.

These are the books i bought today. The bigger ones were on sale.





The books and the 20 sardines and the keyboard were heavy!!!! But i managed :) i just wonder how i can bring these to LBC tomorrow. I don't feel like taking a taxi because taxi drivers here drive as if it's the last trip of their lives.
I finally saw "el niño con el pijama de rayos" (the boy in the striped pyjamas). I watched the movie and it was soooo sad





Now i habe to bring all of these home






I organized my stuff before sleepig and so,

This morning i stayed home because it's a monday. Even if i wanted to visit museums, most of them are closed so i stayed home and "rolled" some of my clothes. And when i say roll, i literally roll them because it's more space efficient but ofcourse my clothes end up wrinkled but i'm going home anyway :)

I spent most of my morning segregating my stuff. I had o ind out which ones i have to bring home with me and which ones i will send through LBC. I bought so much books, and then ny school books included, ¡Madre Mía! Really heavy stuff.

Lunch time, Mamá Eva left me salmon cooked in vinegar with capers and onions and red pepper (not the usual ones. We have black pepper and his one is the red version :) it's sooooo good






Aftrr lunch i went directy to school and no i did not buy a book for this new level because that will just add weight to my luggage and anyway i can buy the book in instituto cervantes when i continue my studies.

We have a new teacher who replaced Rocío. His name is Abel. He's really funny



I have new classmates too from Russia, France, Brazil, the US and Germany.

After class i spent most of my time rummaging through books in El Corte Inglés. Because when i go back to the Philippines it will be more difficult to buy books written in Spanish so i have to grab this chance.

When i arrived home i asked Julieta if she feels like going to Chueca for a walk after dinner and so we did :)
Oh dinner this evening was a French type of soup and we also had Salchichon and sala and bread :)






We even had ice cream


And look how beautiful the evenings are in Madrid. It's so alive!!

This is what i like about afternoon classes. Because i came home so late last night i need to sleep so i can function well for my exam. And since i won't have class until 14:30, and i came home at around 04:30 in the morning, i was able to sleep from 05:00 until 10:30.

I still had time to study too.

But i think i had been studying too much, my brain cannot retain much more.

After lunch, i read some more and off to school i go.

So, the exam...

It was difficult. And i spent too much time reading the text that i did not have time to finish everything and so as not to have blank spaces, i had to do the "shot gun" and guess the others. Haaaaaa...

Anyway, after class, i ran into Secci and wenwalked together towards the metro and jut split because he was going towards Las Rosas and i was going towards Cuatro Caminos.

When i arrived home i dropped on the bed and ...Zzzzzzzzzzz.... Until Mamá Eva arrived and called us for dinner, and that's it. After my evening ritual, it's time to sleep. Yeah i know. Nothing interesting today hahaha. Maybe tomorrow :)

Buenas Noches Madrid!!

Today i had to wake upnearly because i have to bring Julieta to school to show her the way :)

I even took her picture while taking the exam :)

And i watched :)






I am so glad today that there were newspapers being distributed on the street :)

I read an article about the people in the metro who play music in their apparatus without earphones and putting the volume up high. Some Madrileños find it annoying becasae they just want to travel in peace and here comes insensitive passengers who either plays in earphoneless gadgets their music or even if they do have earphones. They sing like they are in the bathroom :) well, that's what i read :)

Anyway, i left the school because i have nothing to do there anyway. I walked to argüelles so i can go to estación Isla Filipinas :) but i saw the map and it was not so bad to walk because it's morning and it's windier :) so i did. It's a little far but it's not like my walk from Las Ventas to our house :p

I finally reached the place and hey! I saw the metro :)






And then i walked a little more to find that monument of Jose Rizal. I did not know exactly where that monument is but i had time to search anyway :)

About 20 metres away, i saw a part of te road that looks likenit has a monument but with my size i cannot see but i had a gut feeling and yes, my heart started to race :) i'm a freak. Hahahaha! And yes i was right :)

I looked like a freak taking pictures of myself but I DID NOT CARE! the people don't know me and ofcourse you guys know how thick faced i am :) oh and it's not everyday that i will get to see Rizal's monument here in Madrid









It's facing the avenue. It's not in a park





I realized that the walk home was short and that i do not have to spend money for a metro so i walked and it was wonderful :)



When i arrived home Mamá Eva was not yet home so i just read my lessons and when she arrived she had a bit of an argument with someone over the phone ao she forgot to prepare lunch :) it was already 14:00 and i had to go to school so i left but he rushed to me and insisted that i take something and so i did and i just ran to the metro and when i surfaced from the metro i ran once again.

I was a few minutes late but they were still interviewing the new students so no problem.

We have new classmates :) 1 from Poland, 2 from Brazil and 1 from Russia.

This is Magda from Poland and beside her, i forgot her name but she's from Brazil and she is in Enforex with her whole family. Her husband and 2 kids :) and there's Bruna on the right and she's also from Brazil :)





And there's Svetlana won the right from Moscow, Russia :)





Hynd was supposed to be part of the morning class but i am not sure why she's here today bit it's ok, she's nice anyway :)






Since we won't be seeing each other because we have different schedules, i took my picture with her :)






After class i went to the bookstore to look for books :) after that i took the bus instead of the metro going home.






But i was not sure how to go home from the bus stop to the flat... But i tried to remember the path and yes, my map reading and navigational skills still work!!!! Woohoo!!!

Well i just read a little and had dinner with my whole family





An then Julieta and i talked so much it was good because we both get to practice :)
