Day 78: Last Day of School

Today i have to bring all of my stuff to the LBC office in Calle Doctor Cirajas. Sardines, a few clothes and booooooks. Like 20 of them haha. I was contemplating on putting the computer keyboard with the "send home" stuff but my dad told me to bing it with me because it might get crushed

I will try to make 2 3/4 months of life inside this

I also finished rolling almost all of my clothes

I had to get a taxi to transport my stuf because i will break my back if i use the metro.

I packed my stuff there and voila! I have to wait around 50 days. But no problem. I'm not very impatient.

I rushed back to the metro because i need to meet up with Julieta for our "despedida to each other lunch".

We ate at the usual, the Cafe Moderno also so i can say goodbye to Rodrigo the camarero and Virgel the Filipino cook.

Here's Julieta with our basket of potato chips

After lunch she had to rush home because her flight is at 18:00 back to France

Since i still had time, i took a few pictures of the road to school

I'm going to miss this place

Here's the door of my school.

The reception

The clock :)

I know i'm a dork :) haha! Here's my last class picture, but i'm missing Magda who went home because she's sick. And Elena the other Russian and Elise who went home

And i'm glad i saw Jose Luis too before leaving :)

I started to reminisce before going home. I took a picture of that cinema where i watched Piratas del Carribe with Induja

And San Bernardo Entrance of the Metro

Oh wait i almost forgot. Outfit of the day, the über comfy Bombachos. I love them even if they look a bit funny at times. It's so comfyyy

And then i went home to eat dinner with Mamá Eva. It was quiet with just the 2 of us but it's like bonding moment :)

After that i started doing my luggage again and then it's ¡Buenas Noches! To my beloved Madrid

Day 62: Close Encounter with the Weird Kind - Exhibitionists

Exhibitionist: noun. A person who can't do anything with his/her miserable life and finds pleasure in showing off his/her reproductive organ/weapon to anyone.

As you read on you will find out why i wrote that :)

Anyway, this morning, Alana and i were supposed to visit "El Museo del Aire" or the "Air/Aeronautics Museum" of the Spanish Airforce.

I'm posting this picture because some people are asking me why i don't post pictures of the stuff i wear anymore. That's because sometimes i have to repeat clothes :)

We found out that It's either we take the Metro to Cuatro Vientos or we take a bus in Principe Pío to take a bus to that place. Although i had a gut feeling a bus would be better, we asked the guy who works in the Metro at Principe Pío and told us that it would be better if we take the metro to Cuatro Vientos. We did what he said. It was a looooong ride. There were even stations above the ground. It was odd to see natural light in the train. This picture was taken in Batán

We saw a supportndog for a blind person. He was so cute.
But it says in his back "no me toques por favor. Estoy trabajando" (don't touch me please. I am working)

And a sleeping lady with rainbow nailpolish :)

When we arrived there, it was really odd that when the elevator surfaced, we were already near the highway

Here's the photo of the metro elevator

Here's the highway

They said it was about a kilometer away from the metro so we started walking and someone told us we had to cross so we walked through the underpass

And then the other city cleaner guy told us that we had to cross back because we won't be able to go cross over to the museum so we have to go back where we came from.

We did and then we walked and walked and walked and realized our walking is futile so weturned back an decided to go back some other time but in a bus this time. Near the metro station, there was a guy in a car, who called us to ask for directions and then i said sorry we don't know the roads in that area. Then he asked us another question which we did not understand and then asked if Alana was a foreigner too and then i looked at Alana and when i looked back at the guy to answer, he suddenly flashed his male signature at us!! And we wanted to throw something at him. Alana wanted to throw a fruit at him but i told her it would be an insult to the fruit. So we just ran.

We rode the metro back but this time we stopped at San Bernardo so that we were near the school.

I brought Alana to the Cafe Moderno and i was surprised because Rodrigo. The "camarero" (waiter) already knew my name :)

Alana enjoyed her pizza and then came our problem of paying. Virgel, the Filipino chef did not want us to pay again and i don't like that. It's enbarassing because i had someone with me. But he really insisted and i could not argue anymore because we had to go to school already. And so i just gave up. Well, i guess that's another free lunch for us.

In school, i had 2 more chinese classmates who apparently went on vacation that's why they did not come to the first 2 days of class.

During the break, Maria Ozerova, my dearest Russian friend cane over to my class to give me a piece of Russian chocolate and i was really so happy to see her :) but before i could take a picture with her, my next teacher ame and so she left

After class, we walked to Sol because we were supposed to meet with Mamá Eva to go to this Mexican celbration. We saw the Capitol, the 7 floor discoteca on the way

We went for ice cream before meeting with her:

And then we also saw a dog with cats

Apparenty it's the birthday of Frida Kahlo :) pardon me for the weird angle of the picture

There were little Frida shrines and a slide show of her pictures

And then i asked Irina a grammar question and all of a sudden there was a debate between her and her mum

And then the next thing i know, the 3 or 4 ladies behind us were now involved as well

Well, i forgot how it ended but we went home and we were all sooooooo tired. So we decided to call it a day.

Day 59: Back to El Rastro

I love breakfast today!! Ofcourse we have the ever present galletas

.... And the buttercakes are back!!!

And a cold glass of "leche" (milk)

This morning we all went to El Rastro. Together :) Mamá Eva, Irina, Alana, Mara and me :)

We all went because Mara will be going to Salamanca this afternoon, and Alana won't be with us anymore next sunday. As i have mentioned before, El Rastro is a sunday market.

Apparently, everytime Mara is here, they all go to El Rastro to buy sunglasses to add to her collection

Some of the sunglasses reminded me of home becauae of the brand
"Rey Ben"

They have some of the coolest sunglasses

Haha! There's so much people today because of the foreigners that flocked in for the Orgullo Gay festival.

We even almost lost Mara :)

Alana and i staye behind when they all left to bring Mara to the train station. Alana had to buy a bag to replace hers because her books ripped her bag.

I bought A watch bracelet for my sister :)

We decided to go back home because it was hot as an oven.

I changed my bed sheets and pillow cases today. Yey!!

And then i studied the whole day until dinner and Mamá Eva served us quesadillas which was so good i had to ask for a little more

Well, that's about everything interesting that happened today :) not much actually, coz i had to make time for studying :p

So Buenas Noches Madrid!!

Ubicación:Calle de Adrián Pulido,Madrid,España

Day 53: I'm A Big Girl Now

Today is Alana's firstday of school. Yes, it's Alana :) not Lana...

I had to wake up at 7 because we have to leave at 8. Her exam was at 08:30 :) so i prepared stuff including breakfast for me :)

What a day for the metro of Cuatro Caminos to arrive later than usual :p

But it's funny because Alana is learning Spanish therefore there are things she does not know yet but we speak in Spanish even if we both speak in english. When she does not understand, i just translate it to english for her.

I brought her to the classroom where she was supposed to take her exam and boy was i early for mine... I was alone.... It was so quiet...
Here's Alana taking her exam:

And here's me killing time:

Suuuuuper early...

Finally Bianca arrived followed by David and Caroline... And then some one else came late. Apparently there are supposed to be more of us. 11 i think because a class will be mixed with ours... But it's minus 4... Make that 5 because Chao Liu is missing again..

During Fransisco's class we had a new student aboard, her name was Beatriz and she is from Brazil. She became my partner earlier because she did not have a book and she was right beside me but i don't mind.

After class, i looked for Alana because i have to teach her how to go home but apparently she has culture class and so i wet home ahead because TENGO MUCHO HAMBREEEEEE!!! (I'M HUNGRYYYYY!!!) oh i saw the lady with the "cruella de vil hair" for the nth time this week

When i arrived home there was salad and a sandwhich with tuna but i was really really hungry so i brought out my skyflakes, the remaining tuna spread, and cup noodles from my "boodle bag" :)

¡Madre Mia! ¿Donde esta la comidaaa?? (where's the food??) hahahaha! Wipe out :)

I was so full :) i went to my room to wait for my folks' call and then mi amorcito called me thru skype as well :) estoy contenta (i am very happy)

I rested a bit and decided to go out to check out places since i have only a few weeks left here.

I went to Chueca :) Chueca (or so i heard) is like the Gay Capital of Spain. And every year people come to celebrate the "Dia del Orgullo Gay" ( Proud Gay Day) and it will be this saturday. I came now to see what Chueca is like and there might be a nar or restaurant open that i can try out. But unfortunately everything was still closed... Yeah why wouldn't it be? It was 18:00 and it's too early to open a bar :) it's too hot still.

They're preparing for this saturday's Día/Fiesta Del Orgulloso Gay (Day/Celebration of the Proud Gay)
...which explains the rainbow flag behind me. That is the symbol of the gay community.

I walked too much i did not realize i am already in Quevedo which is a little far but who cares :) i just walked back to Granvía to check out shops. I was able to buy 2 DVDs, "El Aviador" (The Aviator - with Leo Di Caprio) and "La Milla Verde" (The Green Mile - with Tom Hanks) and ofciuese they are in Spanish. And i jist had to get ice cream. It's really too hot here.

I've always been curious as to how Limon taste like. So i ordered Limon (lemon) and Arroz con Leche (Rice with Milk) flavor... Lemon was ok... It's like frozen lemonade. The rice with milk is a little like "Champorado" but not chocolate but it was good. It had a few grains of rice in it.

After that i decided to go home...

In the metro on the way home there were these Filipino girls younger than me who were making so much noise i wanted to kick them but it was great tjat my stop was next.

And in the station i found this add of Lebara Movil and they exchanged the flags i the Philippines with Bolivia's :)

I arrived home Mama Eva was already preparing dinner.

We ate dinner at the salon :) we had the best burger patty in the world, salad, chips, etc

And por fin! I have a random shot with Irina :)

Well i am really sleepy now and i have classes tomorrow so
