Hi everyone! I have been going on a food trip recently since we arrived home from Macau and since it was my Aunt's birthday last 15 May, we ate out with her.
We ate at this restaurant called Sakae Sushi which is a sushi bar or sushi restaurant with the conveyor belt

You still have a choice i you want to have the unlimited Sushi or a la carte. It'a actually very affordable




We chose the couch seats right beside the conveyor belt for convenience. Here's my aunt (the birthday girl) right beside sushi fest :)




So much sushi going around, it was so hard to choose.




If you noticed, the plates have different colors because for those who do not want the unlimited sushi, they can just take plates from the belt and each plate color has a corresponding price, so they'll just get the total after
And here's the corresponding price depending on the plate color




In our case, we had unlimited sushi so JUST GET AND GET! :)




My mum didn't want the unlimited sushi and just got Sukiyaki




I loooooooved the Kani Salad Sushi... And now begins the plate stacking part :)

This green thing, i have no idea what it's called but it was good at first. It tasted the the fish roe was dumpe in wasabi or something. It was spicy in a wasabi way, the type of "spicy" that comes out of your nose... But after about 3 pcs of this, it hurt my throat so i change my mind. I don't like it very much anymore :p




There are 4 branches in Manila:

And The Fort
The challenge for us whenever we eat here is to eat more than what we paid for or at least break even. Haha :)
My only problem with the sushi is that it has too much rice in it so you get full right away. But overall, i like this restaurant and would recommend it to people who love eating challenges :)

I fell asleep for 2 hours and i decided to utilize the beautiful shower room of Qatar Airways.

Then after about 30 minutes, they called the passengers of my flight foe boarding. We all had to board a shuttle bus to be brought to our plane






Upon arriving inside the plane and after settling down, our orders were taken for our after take off meal. I was goven sushi for appetizer and i chose the spicy noodles with chicken breast with the amazing sauce :)
Unforunately i was out if my mind, i ate the sushi while waitin for my camera to load :) now all you can see is the bowl, the garnishing and some wasabi






Since i was a little girl (i did not grow much though), i've always loved apple juice in the plane and upto now ask for apple juice during plane rides. I don't normally drink apply juice in normal days.

And for dessert we have fresh fruits with unsweetened greek yoghurt. I don't like unsweetened though :p

I did not finish it because i had to go i sleep. It's a 9 hour flight!!

And then i woke up just in time for breakfast. Unfortunately i was trying to conserve battery so i was not able to turn on the cam to take pictures of breakfast but it was a filipino breakfast that did not at all taste like one.

I was so happy when i felt the plane finally touch the ground.

When i got out of the plane i felt the humid heat of my country. HUMID! hahaha! But hey quess what? There's a storm :) what a way to welcome me

And i was so surprised because from a far, i saw who my surprise fetcher was :)





I was really really very happy! :) he and my dad waited for me at the waiting area, and then my mum and sister were in the car :)
After that we all went to Resorts World Manila to eat at stackers :)

Mi hermanita :) she was so envious of my skin and hair color. My hair color became brown and my skin a bit darker because i was always under the sun in Madrid :)





I ate soooo much :) and to think i just ate breakfast in the plane. This is weird becauae i arrived in Manila at 16:40 and we just had breakfast. Hahahaha





After this my phone went dead and so i could not take pictures in the Chinese restaurant we went to after. Yes we ate again. Hahaha!

I was not even able to take pictures of the unpacking of my clothes but oh well.

Well, that's it, this is the last day of my adventure this year. I really did not expect my blog to reach 6,000 hits. I want to thank the people who visited my blog. You actually inspired me to move around Madrid and to learn more so that i can share my experience with all of you :) it was a good 81 days of Spain, my home away from home. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as i did even if it's only through my blog.

I also want to thank my teachers and friends in Spain who actually encouraged me to post in my blog, sometimes even reminding me to take a picture and sometimes they take the picture for me :)

Well today i am not going to write a blow by blow account of my day because nothing special happened today except for thia morning when i went to the station on the way to school. I did not have to wait for the train because as soon as i arrived the train was already there and same with the train from Cuatro Caminos to San Bernardo. It did not end there, I did not have to wait for the walk signs on the stop ligjts on the way to school ecause it was always on "walk".

Well, that's about the only thing special that happened today. So i will just write about aome thoughts that i have been pondering on these past few days.

I have been loving my life here in Madrid... Ofcourse not to the point that i would not want to o home anymore. Ofcourse there is still no place like home.

But my life here in Madrid had been a blast eversince i arrived here. Madrid is like another life for me. It feels so different. I feel so alive. I guess my schooling here can be considered as a breather from my life in Manila which became a boring routine already. It was getting really boring, i actually looked forward to leaving. Ofcourse i miss my family and speially my amorcito :)

But not many people get opportunities like this and so i am making the most out of this.

Eversince i lived with my Spanish family here. I experience how o be independent and tough. And i go out on my own, i take public transportation, i wash clothes, etc.

Now let me tell you the things i have observed and loved about Madrid.

I love how people exert effort to bring their kids on strollers in the metro. I love how people find time to go to El Parque Retiro to hang out, some even lay under the sun and sunbathe or simply to read a book. I want to try that sometime. I also love how the elder folk read the newspaper in the train. I also love how many madrileños give up their seat in the train for the elderly and the women. I've seen a lot of these. I love Madrid and i'm pretty sure there's more to love about them and hey i have 50 more days to see more of this place i call my second home.

So, it's time for me to sleep, and hopefully tomorrow something worth blogging will happen :)

I couldn't make myself get up from bed. "me costé mucho para levantarme" (it was difficult for me to get up)

I ate breakfast with Jaime and Colleen, my 2 american foster sisters. They were going to go to Toledo this morning that's why they had to wake up and eat early. And then they kept sneezing too. The temperature and the weatherbchanged so much these past few days. A lot of people are sick.
Oh by the way there was something different about breakfast today.... NO GALLETAS!! just the butter cake and some donuts. Yes there it is on the upper right :)

IT WAS FREEAAAAAKIN' COLD!! i wore my red knitted coat today and it didn't help much.







...It was 9 degrees earlier and it was not the cold temperature that was bad. It was the wind. The wind made the cold feeling the worst. And i now officially have the colds. MR. SNIFFLES GO AWAY!!!! DEJAME! (leave me alone!!)







I walked faster than usual today because the cold was stinging my skin.

I hurried to the metro because it's warmer down there. In the metro i was already thinking about the cold once i surface at the San Bernardo stop of the metro.

Once i did surface ¡Madre Miaaaaaa! ¡Hace muuuuuuuuucho Friioooooooo!!!!! The wind seemed to literally slap me :) haha! I love the cold, i like it better cold but right now that i don't feel so well, i am not loving it that much.

I arrived in school and thankfully it's warm in the classroom.

Well, we discussed more of the future tense with Marisa today and so with Esteban. I honestly think that we are a bit too much in class. It was difficult to move and write because we're too close to each other.

Emmanuel, my french classmate was my partner for today and we had an activity about making some sort of ad about our city... I wrote about manila instead of quezon city because there are more things to write about Manila than QC in terms of tourism.

Then we talked about future plans and he apparently worked with an animator and he showed me one of his doodles.... This is just a draft, "pasatiempo" (hobby)... What more of he was asked to do some professional thing.









After class i went straight home. I was supposed to buy shampoo today because i am running out of shampoo but i don't think i can right now, i feel really sick today. My cold became worse and my head hurts a bit.

For lunch, we had empanada with tuna and on my rice there was spaghetti sauce with tuna as well. I actually like it :)









But what i loved most about lunch today was the lemon yoghurt. I don't normally like lemon but this is by far THE BEST YOGHURT I HAVE EVER EATEN!!!!!! it's like the natural yoghurt only a bit sweeter. This ia the kind of yoghurt i like.








Mmmmm....









My cold was killing me and so it was good that my family called me earlier to remind me that i have Theraflu in my med kit... Theraflu is the tea we take when we have fever, colds, cough, etc.

The theraflu made me sleepy and so I fell asleep later and i woke up at 21:00... I couldn't get up until Mama Eva said "dinner"... The magic word :)

We had white sauce pasta with zucchini and sausage. I ate with Jaime and Colleen this evening and we talked a little about their Toledo trip. I am glad they enjoyed because i know i did when we were there.

I took a bath earlier today and then i did my homework while waiting for my hair to dry.

My skin has finally adjusted to the climate here. I stopped breaking out. Haha! Thank you for that.

Well right now it's 22:59 and i am quite tired, sleepy and my head is very heavy so i will retire early tonight.

I woke up at around 8 today :) i was really so tired from all that washing and walking i did yesterday.

This morning, i checked my facebook inbox to see if my friend Induja had replied because we were supposed to meet today. Unfortunately, she came home in the "madrugada" or very early morning that she cannot come with me to our supposedly trip to El Museo de Reina Sofia... Oh well. That won't stop me from going around on a sunday.

I checke out the directory that mama Eva gave me and i was supposed to visit the Thyssen Museum to see the Heroína (Heroin-female hero not the drug) exposition. But i suddenly saw "Museo Naval" and it caught my eye not just because it is a naval museum but because it said that admission is FREE!!!! :)

So i dressed up and all, and one of my American foster sisters arrived. And we were introduced and then i left :) i could not wait for the other american to arrive because i have no idea if the line at the museum is long and on sundays, museums close early. As i left the building, it started raining... Vaya!! Mis ropas que llavé ayer!!!!! (oh no! My clothes that i washed yesterday!!!") i felt bad but i just have to wash it again later.

I went to the station and as i stood in front of the metro list of stops, i forgot to ask which station is nearest the naval museum. I took so long standing there skimming through the pages of the directory because apparently my bookmark fell off.

A kind Spanish gentleman approached me and asked me in english "do you need help?" and i answered in Spanish that i needed to find out which station is closest to the museum. And then off i go to Sol station and change lines going to Banco de España :)


As i surfaced from the metro, it was still raining... A little.... And then it stopped.


I honestly do not know now where the museum is. But i did see the gigantic Instituto Cervantes :)



I walked a little more and i saw a tourist help center and i asked where the naval museum is. I asked her in spanish though. She gave me a map and she pointed out our exact location and wherr the museum is and then she asked me where i was from and ofcourse i said i was from the Philippines :)

I love this area of Madrid. So much beautiful structures!! Even their Army Headquarters!



I arrived at the museum and i noticed that people were bringing out their passports as they entered and i freaked because i never bring my passport with me...



So i asked the guy in uniform if the passport is needed and i i don't have it, if my Philippine Driver's license will do and he said yes. *sigh*... What a relief :)



The place was wonderful!!!! I can't believe i'm in Navy heaven!!

What made my heart jump was that out of the 20+ sections of the museum, 2 sections are dedicated to the Philippines :) I wanted to cry tears of pride :)
These apparently are the armour and other equipment of the people from Jolo durin the spanish invasion:

This is the original agreement on paper of the then Spanish King and Portugese King, agreeing upon the division of jurisdiction/sovereignty. I think east belonged to spain and west to portugal... Whoah i forgot. My point is, good job Spain for having preserved this piece of history: ( see the blood? Yes how nice. It's their signature)

It was really something. Well, after 2
Hours inside, i decided to go home and eat lunch because i'm starving!!


I met the other american foster sister of mine, but i forgot their names... Both of them :) hahahaha!

I talked with Mama Eva about the stuff i saw in the museum and she told me other places i should visit.

Oh n the way home i saw this thing on the street whwre a girl pretends to be a statue and asks for donations to support other sculptors:



After the other girls ate lunch, they left for the welcome thing of the school the girls will be going to.

As for me, i re-washed the clothws that were soaked in the rain earlier. ¡Que Rollo! - how boring. There's already a burning sensation on my fingers.

I was still soaking some of my clothes when Mama Eva arrived. But she let me finish, anyway i asked permission if i can re-wash the rain soaked stuff :)

Irina finally arrived :) she came from a trip to the country side with her boyfriend Nicolas and his family.

I stayed in my room to read a bit and to iron the shirts that i was able to get this morning :)


I read a little news and then i don't know if i fell asleep or my mind just wandered off and then Mama Eva and company arrived, just as i was about to eat dinner.

I had some chicken thing with mushrooms for dinner. I love it! It's so flavorful! :)



After dinner i took a bath, did my homework and looks like it's time to sleep
