Day 69: Study Hard while Partying Hard :)

Tonight i am going back to Ya'sta for the Fluor party :) because Secci, and María de Almería will be there and it's a good time to ask my questions because my exam is tomorrow :) hahaha! I know it's weird. Party before the exam :p

Here's a picture of Secci, me and another pretty María, María Zaragosa :) so much Marías here i think i have to change my name to María too.

Anyway, my day started boring as usual. I studied my old exercises and yeah basically morning is study time.

When Mamá Eva arrived, she cooked something for lunch :) Paella!!! But this one is special because unlike in the Philippines where we use chicken and seafoods, here some people like Mamá prefer conejo... bugs bunny... playboy RABBIT :) hahahaha!

She's an excellent cook!!

I asked her why did she not start her own business and she said she wanted to but she would prefer cooking for her students and a smaller group :)

After lunch, i went to school and wow was the lesson diffiult today. Ugh... Or maybe i just need to rest my mind.

But anyway, Yahan brought us Turron. Now i know what Turron is. If you guys read my Huelva post when i viaited Huelva, i ate ice cream Turron flavor :) it's Nougat :)

After class, i went straight home to read a little more, and prepared for tonight. An we had paella again for dinner and i love it!!!

When i got off at Gran Vía, i walked around a little because i was a bit early. Yes 24:30 is early here in Madrid. And then i bumped into María de Rusia or María Ozerova :) and since the place was not open yet we devided to go to another one first

I forgot the name but the ambience was great and then we had a Malibu con Piña which is now officially my favorite. It took the number 1 spot from Mojito. Those are my favorite drinks that are not too strong.

I will have to say that María is one of the best people i've ever met here in Madrid. She's very funny and she's kind and i love talking to her.

We met a person named Marcelo who had a business near by. He volunteered to take our picture and so we had a little chat because he also wanted to speak english but he has no one to practice with so he spoke english sometimes, and we spoke spanish almost all the way :)

After that we went back to Ya'sta. And por fin! Secci and María de Almería were there!!
And the glowing people!!

Too bad i was not able to take a picture with María de Almería.

I met new friends, Ramon, and María Zaragosa. Yes i was surrounded by Marías :)

And i also met Severin from Switzerland and his friends from France :) sorry i cannot rotate.

And ofcourse my lovely professor and friend Secci and another beautiful María. I love Spanish people. They're so friendly and easy to talk to. And during the party i was such a kill joy because i kept on asking grammatical questions but thy did not mind and i love it when they correct me when i say something with wrong grammar but now i felt more confident to speak because i can actually carry a conversation already :) i don't look as much in my dictionary anymore :) thanks to Secci and his beautiful Tres Marías :)

Notice how everyone needs to crouch a little for a picture with me :) hahahahahahaha i always tell them i am the missing super cool dwarf of Snow White :) and my name is "Hungry" because i love food. Hahahaha!

And then María Ozerova and i decided to call it a day because we have classes :) and look how nice the lighting is in Madrid a night. That's why it's not scary to go home at night ornin the weeeeeee hours of the morning because it's so bright and police still roam around.

And now i have to say i made the most out of this day. It's what we love to say in the Philippines "study hard, party harder"... But i did it equally :) i studied while partying :) hahahahaha! Muy bien! Tres puntos para mi! :) hahaha! No sé porque tres. (i don't know why 3).

Day 63: Reunion With My Spanish Teacher from Way Back

My main topic for today is my mini reunion with my Spanish teacher :)

This morning i stayed home to finish my homework and rest a little.

I left for school after eating lunch.

and ay ¡que rollo! (how boring). But i think it's not boring because of the teacher. It's because of the schedule and the lights which are bloody dim and the classroom itself.

Today's lesson was pretty confusing. I'm not gonna start writing about it here though :p

After class i met up with my teacher when i was still in Elementary i think or was it early highschool? I really think i was still in elementary..... Oh well :) not much difference. I did not grow much :)

She brought me to the teleférico and it was amazing!!!!!! It was a panoramic view of Madrid and it was a spectacular view. Too bad i only had my iphone with me and i could not really take much fotos because we were talking :)

After the first trip, we stayed for a few minutes in the cafeteria of the teleferico an i drank Horchata for the first time. It's a very typical drink from Valencia and i did not realize how good it was! It was realy delicious :)

On the way back i snapped a few paparazzi shots of my teacher :)

And the view in the cable car. View IN not FROM :)

And then we walked and talked and talked and walked :) hahaha! We walked along gran vía and chueca and she dropped me off at Bilbao, but before we said our goodbyes for the day, i snapped a picture con permiso (with permission) this time

In the evening i ate dinner with Alana and Mamá Eva served us her chicken which is the best of the best of her cooking so far :)

Well, that's about it for today :)

Day 60: El Circulo de Bellas Artes

Today is the start of my afternoon class week. Yes i now have classes in the afternoons. I don't like it much because when i had morning classes, i had the whole afternoon to do whatever i want. Now, i have to do stuff in the morning, then go to class, and then do whatever again... Plus it's siesta time...

This morning, Alana and i went to El Circulo de Bellas Artes. But there were no exhibits todat because they're closed on mondays but the terrace was open.

We went up the 7th floor and it was so hot but the view was phenomenal!

When i asked a store where the Circulo De Bellas Artes was, the guy said "mira, hay un edificio en frente y hay un soldado arriba mirando a la calle. Ya'sta!" (look, there's a building in front and there's a soldier above looking at the street, that's it!)

I thought it was a real soldier. Apparently not :) it's this guy behind me

Then i had my picture with the real guard :)

After that, Alana and i went to the oldest hotels in Spain i think. It's called the Palace Hotel. It's a 5 star hotel with a beautiful lobby

And then we decided to go back to San Bernardo to go to school. I honestly dislike the new schedule... But oh well. If the teacher is good, might as well stay in the afternoon class. Depending on the teacher, and my classmates.

But before we went to school, we ate lunch out first. We ate at a restaurant with a wonderful offer of an 2 dishes + a drink = 7€ only :) and it was a great bar/restaurant with very friendly people. Alana and i ate with Rina, a Russian studying B2 in
Don Quijote :) she was very nice
I ordered Arroz a la Cubana

... Then chicken curry

An ice cream!! :)

In class i had Carolina as my teacher for the firt half :)

... And Rocío for the 2nd half

Then my classmates:
Yahan and Chen Chen (Chao Liu is my classmate again but this time she's just in the bathroom :))

Helena (she was my classmate before, the Russian :)) Shaina (from Belgium) and Yulin

It's the first time a teacher was able to guess where i am from in less than 3 tries. Carolina eas able to guess in 2 :) but i was surprised she thought i was from Brazil at first.

After class i am so happy because Alana and i went to El Corte Ingles and i finally bought the tickets to the Juanes concert this 20th of July :)

I'm really really happy :) because i don't think he will be coming to the Philippines anytime soon and so it will be amazing to watch him here. I love it!

After that, Alana and i went to Retiro to take pictures of anything and everything. I think the majority of the pictures i took here are of kissing people :) but i used my dslr so i can't post right now because my laptop is busted. Great. >_<

Anyway, we decided to go home after because we lost track
Of time, and in the house we took dinner, the same burger steak thing that was really good, and then it's time to do the evening rituals, and

Day 58: El Palacio Real and Día del Orgullo Gay

Today is the big party for the "El Día del Orgullo Gay" or the Proud Gay Day :) i had been waiting for this day. I'm so proud of Spain because they have something like this.

But since the party won't be til the afternoon, Alana and I decided to visit the "Palacio Real" or the Royal Palace of Spain located here in this lovely lovely city of Madrid.

We left a little late so there was a long line under the heat of the sun but we did not care.

Spongebob was outside by the way and i had my picture taken with him

We finally got in after being baked!!!

It was freakin' hot outside. Anyway, pictures are once again not allowed but i really really want to take pictures and "if there's a will, there's a way"
And this way, is the entrance to this marvelous section of the palace. I swear if the guard saw me he would kill me.

And this is the ceiling of this entrance:

And then i think this was some kind of throne room. We did not have a tourguide so... Haha

Can you see the chinese design in the corners of the ceiling? And the embroidered wall? The wall took more than 20 years to make by women who embroidered it by hand. It was amazing!!! The threads have silver and other kinds of thread but this was truly amazing!

Then we entered another room and our jaws dropped yet again... This room's walls are made of porcelain!!!!!!!

And the beautiful dining area was breathtaking!! Super Impresionante

There was a room also woth 5 pieces from Stradivari that were fron the 1700. Violins and cellos. Buenisimo!

They also had receiving rooms that had a chinese design. I'm not chinese but it's somethin oriental and i was proud :) (sorry i could not rotate the pic)

This is one of my favorite parts. The Royal Pharnacy :) it was amazing! They had drawers and jars for different herbs and medicines :)

Then we also visited the Royal Armory

We could not get over the beauty of this palace i had to buy a guidebook that i can give my parents because they were not able to see this

Alana and i looked for a place to eat after because we were hungry.
We found a place nearby which was cozy and their menu of the day was amazing. I had spaghetti bolognese and the iberian ham

... And now it's gone:

Then we visited El Mercado de San Miguel. But we did no really linger and went back to Sol

We ate ice cream in Farggi and i ate Yogur Griego, or Greek Yogurt flavor and it was the best!!!!

It was really hot today, it is good i placed Crema Solar (sunblock) but Alana did not so her shoulders burned a little

We wet back home because Mamá Eva and i will attend a concert of her dance teacher.
We took the bus an it was amazing because there was Wi-Fi in the bus!!!!

We reached Plaza España and we saw the party starting

Amd so many people came to watch this event :)

Finally we were able to go inside the theater where the dance concert will take place. It was a mix of indian, arabi and other dances

It was amazing! How graceful te dancers were. Apparenty the lead dancer (the teacher of Mama Eva), had only been dancing for 4-5 years an she's amazing.

After the concert, we went to watch the parade

There were so much people and they some were even on their balconies just to watch. They also placed gay flags on buildings

I was really happy i was able to witness this event

This was the GLBT's time to shine :)

Lookie! His butt is exposed :)
I've never seen an event like this ever.

They're not afraid to show anything and it's such a glorious moment for them :)

I have so many gay friends who i am sure would have loved to witness this too

And i'm glad i watched it with my Mamá Eva

There was a drunk guy dancing too :)

And when it was time for us to go home, in the metro was a drunk guy too :)

Well, when we arrived home, Irina and her friend Mara were back home and Alana as well :) we had pasta for dinner and tomorrow were goig to El Rastro :)

It was a loooong but fun day,
