Day 61: Templo de Debod and the Singing Guy with Mice

Alana and i decided to rest this morning instead of going to a museum or what not. I utilized my time to wash my clothes because i was running out of clean ones.... Unless i wear a sweater to school which would be really ridiculous because it's like an oven here right now.

Alana went to school earlier than i did because she had a culture class.

I went to school and yes i actually love my class.

After class, Alana and i walked to the Templo de Debod. It's some kind of temple with egyptian writing.

This is the temple :) we had no guide and there were no descritpions so i will just show you the pictures i took

After that we went to Sol to get frozen yoghurt

And for me, burger king and farggi ice cream!!!

Alana could not get over the face that i was eating a burger as big as my head

Oh and then we saw Jesus smoking

On the way back we saw a guy with a guitar with 2 mice on top and then he started singing

But we don't understand what the mice were for so we asked the guy and he said theybwere his pets and their names are Gizmo and Sasha.
Then i had my picture taken with him

After that on the way home, i accompanied Alana in a small restaurant near our place because she has to take dinner outside.

On the way home we passed the Ali Bar, the little Filipino videoke bar near our flat. And then there was a drunk Filipino guy who invited Alana in a rude manner in Spanish with a mix of Filipino and i answered him back in Filipino that we have somewhere to go to and he answered me back rudely in Filipino "i don't care. I'm talking to her". I really wanted to punch his face. I never expected to hate a Filipino here. I hate his guts and i really hope he swallows his cigarette and choke on it. He's so rude. I did not expect to be treated like that by a fellow Filipino. He does not deserve to be called Filipino. Yes he should stay in Spain for the rest of his miserable life and burn his guts because of all the drinking and smoking....

Haaaahhh!!! Finally able to get that out of my system. Muchas gracias! Odio personas como así. sin vergüenza (i hate people like that. Shameless)

Anyway, not to ruin my evening any further, i shall say

Day 60: El Circulo de Bellas Artes

Today is the start of my afternoon class week. Yes i now have classes in the afternoons. I don't like it much because when i had morning classes, i had the whole afternoon to do whatever i want. Now, i have to do stuff in the morning, then go to class, and then do whatever again... Plus it's siesta time...

This morning, Alana and i went to El Circulo de Bellas Artes. But there were no exhibits todat because they're closed on mondays but the terrace was open.

We went up the 7th floor and it was so hot but the view was phenomenal!

When i asked a store where the Circulo De Bellas Artes was, the guy said "mira, hay un edificio en frente y hay un soldado arriba mirando a la calle. Ya'sta!" (look, there's a building in front and there's a soldier above looking at the street, that's it!)

I thought it was a real soldier. Apparently not :) it's this guy behind me

Then i had my picture with the real guard :)

After that, Alana and i went to the oldest hotels in Spain i think. It's called the Palace Hotel. It's a 5 star hotel with a beautiful lobby

And then we decided to go back to San Bernardo to go to school. I honestly dislike the new schedule... But oh well. If the teacher is good, might as well stay in the afternoon class. Depending on the teacher, and my classmates.

But before we went to school, we ate lunch out first. We ate at a restaurant with a wonderful offer of an 2 dishes + a drink = 7€ only :) and it was a great bar/restaurant with very friendly people. Alana and i ate with Rina, a Russian studying B2 in
Don Quijote :) she was very nice
I ordered Arroz a la Cubana

... Then chicken curry

An ice cream!! :)

In class i had Carolina as my teacher for the firt half :)

... And Rocío for the 2nd half

Then my classmates:
Yahan and Chen Chen (Chao Liu is my classmate again but this time she's just in the bathroom :))

Helena (she was my classmate before, the Russian :)) Shaina (from Belgium) and Yulin

It's the first time a teacher was able to guess where i am from in less than 3 tries. Carolina eas able to guess in 2 :) but i was surprised she thought i was from Brazil at first.

After class i am so happy because Alana and i went to El Corte Ingles and i finally bought the tickets to the Juanes concert this 20th of July :)

I'm really really happy :) because i don't think he will be coming to the Philippines anytime soon and so it will be amazing to watch him here. I love it!

After that, Alana and i went to Retiro to take pictures of anything and everything. I think the majority of the pictures i took here are of kissing people :) but i used my dslr so i can't post right now because my laptop is busted. Great. >_<

Anyway, we decided to go home after because we lost track
Of time, and in the house we took dinner, the same burger steak thing that was really good, and then it's time to do the evening rituals, and

Day 59: Back to El Rastro

I love breakfast today!! Ofcourse we have the ever present galletas

.... And the buttercakes are back!!!

And a cold glass of "leche" (milk)

This morning we all went to El Rastro. Together :) Mamá Eva, Irina, Alana, Mara and me :)

We all went because Mara will be going to Salamanca this afternoon, and Alana won't be with us anymore next sunday. As i have mentioned before, El Rastro is a sunday market.

Apparently, everytime Mara is here, they all go to El Rastro to buy sunglasses to add to her collection

Some of the sunglasses reminded me of home becauae of the brand
"Rey Ben"

They have some of the coolest sunglasses

Haha! There's so much people today because of the foreigners that flocked in for the Orgullo Gay festival.

We even almost lost Mara :)

Alana and i staye behind when they all left to bring Mara to the train station. Alana had to buy a bag to replace hers because her books ripped her bag.

I bought A watch bracelet for my sister :)

We decided to go back home because it was hot as an oven.

I changed my bed sheets and pillow cases today. Yey!!

And then i studied the whole day until dinner and Mamá Eva served us quesadillas which was so good i had to ask for a little more

Well, that's about everything interesting that happened today :) not much actually, coz i had to make time for studying :p

So Buenas Noches Madrid!!
