Food Trip: Fortune Hong Kong Sea Food Restaurant

Food Trip! :)

My family and I with a few family friends went to Angeles City again and tried out another restaurant that was highly recommended. The Fortune Hong Kong Sea Food Restaurant

Sorry about this photo, my finger seemed to have covered it partially :) According to our family friends who brought us here, this is one of the most famous chinese restaurants in Pampanga.
The interior is very spacious and there are VIP rooms too
Our friend ordered a customized set meal. There are set meals on the menu but she chose a few to take out and replace with other dishes from the menu. I did not dare ask to not look and sound picky. But she did say that all the dishes that were served that evening cost only between PhP6,000-P7,000 or US$252-US$294. To see how much food there was on our table, keep reading! :)

Peanuts were served while we waited for the appetizers. We had fun eating this because they served platic chop sticks which made it more challenging to pick up these round and greasy peanuts
Cold cuts for appetizers. There were meat shops and jelly fish
One of the favorites that evening was the Spinach Seafood Soup :)
Next was the Steamed Prawn Garlic which was also good but just a little difficult to eat
 Yummmm....
It was no one's birthday but the Birthday Noodles was included in the set
This is one of the specialties of the Fortune Restaurant. This is what they call the 3 Cups Chicken because of the 3 different sauces used to marinate the chicken and the sauce that it's covered with. This one I highly recommend.
The next dish was the Steamed Garoupa Fish or what we locally call the Lapu-Lapu, named after the first Filipino Hero, Lapu-Lapu. Don't ask me why the fish was named after him. haha.. But we needed the waitress' help in de-boning the fish

What is a meal here in the Philippines without Rice? Rice is our staple food so except for those who are on a low carb diet, this is heaven. Filipinos normally dig plain rice but that evening we ordered the Yang Chow Fried Rice

We also had the Steamed Crab with 2 eggs. If I'm not mistaken, the reason why the dish is called Steamed Crab with TWO EGGS is because there's hardboiled chicken egg around, and it the soup surrounding it was Ostrich Egg I think. But I do know that it was not some ordinary egg.
*huff puff* I'm almost done with the list of food served that evening....There was just so much haha. The last main dish was the Salt and Pepper Spareribs This one is really good too.
But we did have 2 kinds of dessert. We had Buchi (It's sweet and it's sticky with breading and sesame covering it)
...and my ultimate favorite dessert in Chinese REstaurants, the Almond Lychee Jelly :)

Imagine, 11 kinds of food were served that evening and there were only 10 of us. We couldn't finish everything of course so we had it wrapped to be brought home. On the way out of the restaurant, you will see aquariums with Lobsters....
 ...and Sea Urchins

whew! so much food! haha anyway, the Fortune Hong Kong Seafood Restaurant accepts catering and reservations.  The branch we went to was the Angeles City Branch:

I think with that much food the host said she set her budget to around 6,000 and it was upto the manager to tweak the set meal to fit the budget :)
